Crop Harvesting Machines
Harvesting is gathering ripened crop from field. It is one of the most labour dependent work in agriculture, so harvesters are used to reduce labour cost and time of the farmers.
Harvesting action can be done in four ways:
- Slicing action with a sharp tool
- Tearing action with a rough serrated edge
- Two elements scissors type action
Principle of Cutting a Crop
A crop is cut by shearing action of cutting elements. During the process of shearing, some bending, and compression also takes place. In practice, two opposed shearing elements meet and pass each other with little or no clearance between them. Either one or both elements may be moving to produce motion. The motion may be of three types:
- Linear
- Reciprocating
- Rotary
If ground is the surface, single cutting elements is enough to perform the job. The cutting element may be moving or stationary with respect to the machine. If the material that is being cut is adequately supported and strong in bending (like sugar beets), the material itself may transmit the force required to oppose a single cutting element.
Harvesting Machines
Reaper:
Reaper is a machine to cut crops. The machine consists of frame, cutter bar, knife, wheels, bearings and other attachments. KisanKraft has self-propelled long crop and short crop reapers.
Tea leaf harvesting machine:
Tea leaf harvester is the harvesting machine used to pick and collect tea leaves from plant which reduces labor cost and time. KisanKraft has the best operated tea leaf harvesters.
Maize/Corn Harvester:
Cob is stripped from its stalk without any damage with the help of Maize/corn Harvester. KisanKraft has self-propelled single row maize harvester, maize dehusker and maize sheller which helps for small and marginal farmers to save their labour cost and time.
Palm Harvester:
Palm harvester helps to cut and collect all fruit bunches without damaging the fruit. KisanKraft has motorized palm harvesting machine to ease the harvesting process.
