KisanKraft was founded in August 2005 by Mr. Ravindra Agrawal and Mrs. Sarika Agrawal. Belonging to a small town named Bhatapara in Chhattisgarh, our founder Mr. Ravindra Agrawal was always passionate about agriculture. It was this passion for agriculture which made him come back to India after a successful stint of more than 15 years with Microsoft Corporation in United States of America.
KisanKraft was started from a small garage in Bangalore in 2005 as an exclusive importer and distributor of farming tools of American and Japanese companies named Ardisam and Tanaka respectively. By 2016, KisanKraft became one of the leaders in the farming implements sector catering to small and marginal farmers with land holding sizes of less than 5 acres.
Post becoming a market leader, KisanKraft has explored and succeeded in new avenues within the market. KisanKraft began providing an economical series of their farm implements under the FarmBoy brand which has played a significant role in mechanising farms in various parts of the country.
After proving their prowess in the agriculture equipment market, KisanKraft ventured into the pioneering world of seed research and development in the year 2017. The KisanKraft Seeds R&D department, equipped with a molecular laboratory, a seed laboratory, and a tissue culture laboratory with sophisticated equipment of international standards, have developed eco-friendly, water-saving varieties and hybrids of rice and vegetables that are fortified and drought resistant. To name a few of the multiple success stories in this venture, KisanKraft’s Seeds R&D department achieved recognition by DSIR and the necessary approval from NBA for seed development, they have been admitted to The United Nations’ “Sustainable Rice Platform” (SRP) in 2020, after review by several members with the varietal interventions being appreciated by SRP.
With continued efforts in pushing the boundaries of seeds research, KisanKraft decided to take their initiative digital with the Software team and develop a mobile application to help small and marginal farmers. The application has a growing number of more than 250,000 users which facilitates rentals of agriculture equipment helping increase the income of farmers who rent-out their machines. This is a first of its kind feature in the industry targeted at small farmers. The app is designed with other easy to use features such as expert support provided by an Agronomy team to cultivate and manage their crops, forecast of the weather conditions and updated agricultural news in the farmers local language to mention a few features provided by the app.
KisanKraft grew to new heights in each of the ventures undertaken to help small and marginal farmers. With this aptitude for growth the company launched a range of Power Tools under the Aryantra brand in 2021 to diversify and support skilled and semi-skilled workers employed in the construction industry e.g., masons, carpenters, welders etc. The Aryantra brand being backed by KisanKraft’s reputation has built a good customer base in a short span of time by realising the market need for good quality machinery and their consumables.
KisanKraft continues to be a market leader in the agriculture equipment market with pioneering vision and approach to growth in their consolidated effort to help not only small and marginal farmers but also skilled and semi-skilled construction workers.
