Wood cutting machine and its operation
If you have handful of trees on your farm, then chances are you’re going to need a chainsaw at some point. A wood cutting machine contains a series of teeth attached to a chain that rotates along with a guide bar. It is used in activities such as tree cutting and branch cutting. Chainsaws are available in many different sizes and have many specifications to consider i.e., rated power, speed, engine, type of chain etc.
A chain saw machine has two main parts: a saw blade built into a chain, wrapped around a long metal guide bar, and a small petrol engine of a cylinder or an electric motor driven by a battery. The chain is a bit like a bicycle chain, it moves around cogwheels, that is designed to rotate a chain with sharp teeth made of hardened steel alloy mounted around it at intervals. Inside the engine, when the piston enters and exits the cylinder, it pushes a connecting rod that rotates the crankshaft. The crankshaft rotates the gears that are connected through a centrifugal clutch to one of the sprockets on which the chain is mounted, and the chain rotates.
The guide bar is what guides the chain that makes the cut, and its length is one of the most important features to consider. You can easily cut the larger trees using longer guide bar. Weight is a very important consideration with a chainsaw because it is manually operated machine.
By using hand saw, you will have to spend more time in cutting trees manually, which can be done easily with a chainsaw.
