KisanKraft Ltd, the Bengaluru-based agri-firm, has joined the World Bank’s Water Resource Group (WRG)’s low methane rice project to promote the direct seeded rice (DSR) in Uttar Pradesh. KisanKraft, an ISO 9001:2008 certified manufacturer, wholesale importer & distributor of high-quality agricultural equipment, conducted an Aerobic Rice demonstration for 150 farmers in Deshani Village. The demonstration was conducted by Dr. H. E. Shashidhar, Director of Research, KisanKraft, who until recently, was a Professor at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, to educate farmers on the cultivation of Aerobic Rice.
KisanKraft, a Bengaluru-based agri-equipment company for small farmers, has received an order worth Rs. 20 Crores from Nepal for 5,000 intercultivators which will be manufactured in India at its recently commissioned 46-acre Nellore campus. The 15-year old company is planning aggressive export revenues for 2022, targeting SAARC, Asia, and Africa countries. KisanKraft currently has a manufacturing capacity of 75,000 units of inter-cultivators per annum at its Nellore plant.
Agri equipment manufacturer KisanKraft on Wednesday said it has set up a 46-acre factory campus at Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, to manufacture self-propelled inter-cultivators. The 46-acre campus also includes R&D plots for the testing and development of new machines. The company has invested about Rs 75 crore in setting up the facility so far which will have a capacity to manufacture around 75,000 pieces of inter-cultivators per year.
Having the distinction of serving more than 50 lakh small farmers through mechanization, KisanKraft has created a one-of-a-kind app, with a special service to facilitate farmer-to-farmer farm equipment rentals. Such equipment rental income helps supplement farmer incomes significantly, KisanKraft Promoter Managing Director Ravindra K Agrawal said.
KisanKraft, a manufacturer and wholesale distributor of agricultural machinery for small & marginal farmers, has signed a 10 year licensing agreement with the National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) and the National Bio-diversity Authority (NBA) for the marketing and sale of an aerobic rice variety developed by University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru.
